How my bucket list completely changed my life

My Bucket List Completely Changed My Life

There was a time when my life felt like a loop—comfortable, familiar, but really unremarkable.
I wasn’t unhappy, but I didn’t really felt fully alive either. Then one day, after some life changing events I wrote down just one single line:
Paraglide over the coast of Wollongong.
That initial moment didn’t just mark the beginning of my list—it marked the beginning of my transformation from a passive bystander to an active participant in life

From Checklist to Compass

At first, my bucket list was just a random collection of  some dreams. adventures and goals  I hoped to chase “someday.”
But as I started ticking  things off my ever expanding list, I realized this wasn’t just a bucket list—it was a compass toward the direction to a fulfilled life.
Each item no matter how big or small pointed me toward a new version of myself I hadn’t met yet: bolder, more intentional, and importantly more alive.

Skydiving for the first time or diving with sharks wasn’t just about the adrenalin rush. It was me investing in myself and trusting that I can commit and accomplish things that scare me .

Trusting the unknown. That initial leap became a metaphor for how I began approaching life—with excitement, curiosity, and a willingness to move forward.

The Ripple Effect

What surprised me most wasn’t the thrill of ticking items of my list—it was the ripple effect it had on all other areas of my life.
Saying yes to one scary thing made it easier to say yes to others. I started adding more and more crazy assed adventures and activities to my list and the more items I ticked of my list the more I realised I was able to accomplish,
My bucket list didn’t just change my weekends—it started to  change my identity.

I became someone who chased new experiences, enjoying a simple sunrise in foreign cities, and someone that asked deeper questions.
I started to built a brand around intentional living. I stopped waiting for the prereferral  “someday” and started creating it today.

Legacy Over Luxury

One of the biggest shifts was redefining success. My bucket list taught me that leaving a legacy matters more to me than material possessions. That impact I can have on others outlasts income.
I began crafting experiences not just for myself, but also in the hope to inspire others to turn their someday dreams into why not now.
Each item I tick off becomes a story. And each story hopefully becomes an inspiration for someone else to chase their own dreams

That’s the real magic, when your personal adventures becomes an invitation for others to stop seeking permission and start taking action toward their dreams and goals today

Designing a Life Worth Remembering

Today, my bucket list is more than just a list of random goals—it’s a tool I use to design my days, month and year
I use it to design my year, guide my decisions, and stay aligned with what matters most.
It’s not just about seeking new thrills, it’s about personal growth and development in all aspects of my life.
It’s about choosing experiences that stretch me, ground me, and remind me why I started my list in the first place.

What I learned over the last few years is that the most powerful bucket list items aren’t always the most impressive ones.
Sometimes it’s watching a sunrise with a loved one. Sometimes it’s having a conversation with people who inspire you and at other times it’s simply spending time listening to someone else’s life story remembering how short—and miraculous—our life on earth  really is.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve ever feel stuck, uninspired, or disconnected from your own story, I would  recommend to start your own bucket list.
You can start by writing just a few items onto a piece of paper, irrelevant how big or small as long as they have meaning to you .
Not as a far of dream, but as a framework to design your own life.
Use
it as your permission slip to live on your own terms and leave a story that outlives you.

Because what I found out since starting my own list, your bucket list isn’t just about what you do—it’s about who you become along the way.
