Creating a yearly bucket list

As I am getting older it seems as every year is moving quicker than the one before and with the speed of each passing year. lots of goals, plans and good intentions we set for ourselves at the  beginning of the year are often gone and forgotten before  we even reach the end of the January of any given new year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            ln late 2022 I decided to become a bit more disciplined and  set goals for  each new season and created a yearly list in order to be come more deliberate and focused on what I wanted to accomplish in the forth coming 12 month.

I initially decided on  writing 23 items for my 2023 list,  which included a range of things that I am interested in and that would both challenge and help me expand my comfort zone, add new skills, knowledge and creating new habits.                                                                                                                                            My initial focus for 2023 was to read as many books as possible and also learn some new skills which will help me work towards some of my future goals. Additionally, I always make sure my list involves an element of fun, adventures and physical and metal challenges.

Everything on my list is relevant to what’s important to me at the time and no doubt my list is going to change yearly as I tick completed tasks and add new interests and ideas as time progresses.

Even if I don’t complete everything on my list within  365 days, should it still be of interest to me the following year, I carry it over to the following year to be ticked of at a future date.

I found having those extra goals to work toward to within a limited period of time helps you become more focused and deliberate on what’s important and you’re less likely to waste time as so many do by being social media zombies…
